1969 Mustang Fastback for sale in Princeton, New Jersey

$17,000

I am selling my 1969 Mustang Fastback with a totally rebuilt and upgraded 302. Vin Number: 9F02F169346. I have owned the car since the beginning of this year and have upgraded, fixed, and replaced many working parts. The history of the car as far as I know is that it was originally sold in Cleveland, kept in Pittsburgh and then made its way to New Jersey where I purchased the car. The car has 181,700 original miles on it however the Newly Rebuilt Engine has less than 50 miles on it. The original color was Acapulco blue with a black interior. The car is now silver with black accents and an unpainted hood. The paint is in fair condition however it has many small scratches, flakes and nicks so the car will need to be repainted in a full restoration however the paint is currently fine for protecting the sheet metal from rust. The interior is still the original black interior however I have taken out the carpet and disposed of it. The underbody and frame are in decent condition however they will need to be worked on in a full restoration. I wire brushed and extensively cleaned the floor plans on the inside of the car and sealed and painted them with with rust preventive paint. The torque boxes were cut out and replaced with welded steel plates before I owned the car. The car has front disc brakes with rear drum brakes. The engine and trans are in GREAT condition. The trans was rebuilt before I purchased the car and the engine was rebuilt in the 90's once but most recently this past summer 2013 I rebuilt the entire engine and upgraded it with an Edlebrock RPM performer top end kit and replaced or restored everything in the engine! The only components I did not replace were the block, crank shaft, and pistons but I did refurbish them and clean them extensively! The engine runs great and sounds great and the car has tons of potential. The transmission is currently a c4 automatic with a B&M shifter however the car was originally a 3 speed manual from the factory and the clutch petal is still in the car which would make for an easy transition back to a manual transmission if so desired. If you have any questions for me please contact me! I would love to answer any and all of your questions!

The car has standard rust in the underbody but for the most part is solid. Floor pan are solid except for at the very front where they have been patched with metal plates. Torque boxes were cut out at some point and repaired with think steel plates welded in place. Paint is in rough condition with many small scratches, flaking and nicks. Body sheet metal is in good condition with a few dings and dents and one large dent at the front of the drivers side fender. Car is straight and so are body lines for a 1969 car. Some of the weather stripping in usable condition while much of it should be replaced. Some of the weather striping is missing as well. The drivers seat fabric is torn and there is one hole in the headliner fabric. The dash is in good condition with some cosmetic wear. (Not all of the gauges work, the speedo in no longer accurate though the cable is new, it needs a new plastic gear.
